Summary
Ramsey Trade Fair was the first film by Scott Faulkner. It documents a local weekly trade fair in Southwestern Virginia, and a way of life that at the time was perceived to be quickly fading away. Sellers and buyers exchange goods, socialize, eat, and listen to gospel music. The subjects in the film talk about their unique products and about the nature of the commerce at the fair.

Ramsey Trade Fair was one of a series of films produced by the Appalachian Educational Media Project, an APPALSHOP film training program funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities and private foundations.

Scott Faulkner directed and edited the film. Elizabeth Barret, Alan Bennett, and Ben Zickafoose assisted on the production. The film was shot in Ramsey, Virginia during the spring and early summer of 1973.

"There's a Golden Tomorrow" and "Time Has Made a Change" performed by Bill Denham.
