Description (Roadside composer and ensemble member Ron Short gathers a multigenerational and multi-regional group of musicians to participate in a two-part story circle. In the first part, the musicians briefly share their path: what brought them to where they are today. In the second part, the musicians tell stories of how the pandemic has affected their work, including: depression and isolation, adaptation to new forms, the difficulty of live-streaming, changes in booking, the moral conflict of performing live, keeping music venues open, protecting family, and how to support each other toward basic survival. Participants are Ed Snodderly, Desmar Guevara, Brittany Lauren Ashley, Martha Spencer, and Travis Kern.
