Scope and Contents
Creating in Place is a collection of original stories, photographs, audio, transcripts, visual art, and writing both expressing and documenting how individuals in our communities have experienced 2020.
Abstract
The Creating in Place Project collection consists of photography, oral histories, a podcast, creative writing, and story circles that document the voices and creativity of Appalachian residents in 2020. Most audio items are accompanied by transcripts. The project is an interdisciplinary collaboration of the Appalshop programs Roadside Theater, Appalachian Media Institute, Appalshop Archive, WMMT-FM, and Letcher County Culture Hub.
Physical Description
The digital collection consists of audio, .pdf text documents, and photographs recorded in 2020.
