Scope and Contents
Includes a second wave of AEMP fiilms in addition to individual films projects. Film themes and styles diversify, though an observational, first voice aesthetic becomes an entrenched value. The organization's documentary film production reputation grows, and a retrospective of the workshop entitled The Appalshop Show is produced in partnership with WNET, the New York PBS affiliate. Also during this period, projects exploring other artistic disciplines are launched, most notably June Appal Recordings, Roadside Theater, and Mountain Review.
