Statement from the creators of this project:

Our project focuses on oral histories of Southern Appalachian harm reduction workers. We believe the stories of harm reduction workers are vital to preserve and share in order to understand how social service and public health work that prioritizes the self-direction and autonomy of the people who are served is articulated in a place where these services are not widely supported.
