Description
Gene DuBey. 1973. 16 mm Film.

A sight and sound experience of mountain music and culture, Tomorrow’s People is an Appalachian precursor to today’s music video. I.D. Stamper’s dulcimer music and a lively banjo/fiddle/guitar “breakdown” are accompanied by a visual essay on Appalachian people and places that mixes archival photos and current footage. The film concludes with Lee Sexton leading a square dance at the Carcassonne Community Center.
