Roadside Theater and Friends included Roadside Theater, Idiwana An Chawe, and the Mullins Family Singers. Roadside Theater members included Ron Short, Kim Neal, and Tom Bledsoe.
"Cities of Gold," "Open Door," and "Dreams" were recorded July 6, 1989 at Eden Studio in London, England, with engineer Nick Gomm. All other songs were recorded live to two-track in 1996 at Appalshop Studio in Whitesburg, KY with engineer Tom Hansell. The final release was produced by Dudley Cocke for Roadside Theater. Note: this was a Roadside Theater (a project of Appalshop) release, not a June Appal Recordings Release.
