JA060 (Kay Justice and Ginny Hawker - Signs and Wonders)

Description: Ginny Hawker comes to singing from the perspective of her father's Primitive Baptist Church in Danville, Virginia. Kay Justice sang ballads, bluegrass and gospel for many years with various groups and solo in the Abingdon, Virgina area. The two first met at the August Heritage Workshops in Elkins, West Virginia in 1986.

Recordings for JA060, Signs and Wonders, were made at the Appalshop Studio in Whitesburg, KY on March 12-13 1990 by Doug Dorschug. Musicians included Ginny Hawker on vocals, Kay Justice on vocals and guitar, Tracy Schwarz on fiddle, autoharp, and second guitar, and Hillary Diriam on bass.
