DAVID HOLT - IT JUST SUITS ME (JA-038)

Description: David Holt (born October 15, 1946 in Gatesville, Texas) plays ten acoustic instruments and has released numerous recordings of traditional mountain music and southern folktales. He also hosts the jazz program for public radio, "Riverwalk," as well as a television program on folk music and culture on North Carolina public television, "Folkways." He frequently performs with Doc Watson.

Recordings for JA038, It Just Suits Me, were made by Doug Dorschug, Wes Sound Shop, Dudley Wilson and Jack Wright. Musicians included David Holt on vocals, banjo, fretless banjo, hammered dulcimer, harmonica, hambone, and paper bag; Mike Hunter on guitar and vocal harmony; Buddy Davis on bass and vocal harmony; and Bob Jordan on guitar. JA038 was released in 1981.
