Malcolm Dalglish (born August 14, 1952) is an American hammered dulcimer player and builder, composer, and choral director. He lives in Bloomington, Indiana, where his publishing company, Ooolitic Music, is based. Grey Larsen is most well-known as one of the world's foremost players and exponents of the Irish flute. He is a also a recording artist, composer, teacher, author, producer, and a mastering and recording engineer. Dalglish and Larsen, natives of the Cincinnati, Ohio area, orginally performed together while attending Oberlin College. Their music was heavily influenced by the late Michael J. Kennedy, the Irish musician who settled in Covington, Kentucky.
Recordings for JA026, The 1st of Autumn, were recorded in the Spring of 1978 by Jack Wright and Dudley Wilson at June Appal Studio. The release was mixed by Jack Wright, Grey Larsen and Malcolm Daglish. Musicians included Malcolm Dalglish on hammer dulcimer, spoons, bones and vocals; and Grey Larsen on Irish flute, tin whistle, Anglo concertina, English concertina, hammer dulcimer, fiddle, guitar, piano and vocals; and Michael Murphy on Bodhran.
