Summary
A dramatic film, In Ya Blood is about a young man, Randy, who must make the difficult decision faced by all Appalachian youth- whether to stay in the mountains or leave in search of a "better life". The film follows Randy as he struggles with his alternatives of either working in the coal mines or going off to college.
Herb E. Smith wrote, directed, and edited In Ya Blood. Just out of high school himself, he portrays Randy in the film. The other actors are Ann Eversole, Dan Mohn, Gary Mullins, and Glenn Palumbo. The film was shot in Letcher County, Kentucky, by Marty Newell during the summer of 1970.
