Description (This Armistice Day show includes several segments. "Wives and Widows" includes footage of veterans' widows. Ona Collins shows US seal she made in honor of her husband and reads poems she has written. "A Musical Tribute" includes footage of Kate Peters Sturgill with two other people singing WWI songs: "Glory Glory Hallelujah", "Just Before the Battle Mother", "There's a Long Long Trail a-Winding", "Pack Up Your Troubles", "Over There", "It's a Long Way to Tipperary", "Til We Meet Again", "When the Roses Bloom Again", "Silver Threads Among the Gold". "A Poetic Tribute" includes footage of young men reading WWI poems. "Armistice Day 1974" includes footage of an interview (starts mid-sentence) with veteran, who talks about bayonet training. There is footage at the end of the reel of a man at a desk discussing mining regulations. This program was videotaped for broadcast on cable television Channel 12 as part of the Broadside/Mountain Community Television initiative to provide locally produced public access television to Southwestern Virginia.)
