Description (Warren Wright discusses his research on what he calls The Big Steal, that is, the unlawful acquisition of land in southeastern Kentucky in the late nineteenth century by northern power companies. He also comments on his belief in the collaboration between power, government, educational and religious institutions in the area to secure and maintain the unlawfully mineral rights for the power companies.
